Mini Marcos at Kyalami (1967)

The Mini Marcos leads the field into the first corner at Kyalami, South Africa, in the 1967 nine hour race thanks to a quick getaway in the Le Mans start. The cutting is from the scrapbook of South African Mini Marcos maker, Brian Raubenheimer and was photographed by Ian Allbon. Our thanks to both. The car was driven by Raubenheimer and Jem Marsh, and finished 15th. The photo above was found by Tertius Van Zyl. Note the raised windscreen position following a little scrutineering difficulty before the 1967 Le Mans race.
